Parenting/Pregnancy and all that comes with it!

Ever need a break? Ever need to feel like you're somebody important too? I'm still trying to decide how to incorporate a respite room right here free from kid centralized talk and where you an individual with other thoughts can speak your mind. Suggestions are welcome. If I start a Group it may become a lost group floating out on the cosmos... I'm trying to keep it here in this realm. So, I started with a forum topic. We can start here and maybe when my prego brain lets me think clearly I'll get an " A HA!!" and have it all worked out.

I like this idea, sometimes it is just good to talk about other things besides the kids. Subject idea fun places to go where there are no children, what do you think?

Ooh good one. Start a discussion on it. I'll have to think on that one too. The only place I know of is "work". Eeeks or the gym.

How about "How do you relax when you do get a break????"

Every time I get a break from my son-when I'm not at work or school (those don't count)-I don't know what to do first. I don't know if I should take advantage of the break, catch up on some reading/studying for school, get some laundry and cleaning done, call a friend that I haven't had time to talk to much, go out, go to a movie, or just plain sit down and relax. The last thing is really hard to do because my brain is filled with 8000 things that I should be doing? One of those things being-spend some quality time with me, but it seems like I've forgotten how to clear my brain and do this. Work, school, health, and baby stuff consume my brain. I know this isn't healthy, but can't help it. Anyone else feel like that???

So tell me how do you get all the "to do lists" and "to do for the kid list"?

Great questions Jen. I'd be interested to learn more on this myself. One thing I do now when I am exhausted from my LPO duties, and the man is driving me crazy, is to take a long hot bath with my favorite (Publics) Lavendar Bath mineral soak, with some lavendar Epsom Salt crystals thrown in as well, turn off the lights, put on some sea scape kind of music, light some candles around the tub and just float in the water. I don't know if I'll get away with this after the baby comes on Thurs or Fri but I'm keeping it in my back pocket.

THE WEEK IN REVIEWS – 11/7/2009

Here are a few product reviews posted this week from other blogs we like. I’ve always wanted to drink the sauce Panda Express uses on their Orange Chicken. (via Review Spew) If you’re a gamer and you’re drinking something called Gamer Juice, I hope you get fragged. (via Snack Overload) I don’t trust skinny chefs. I don’t [...]

REVIEW: Hormel Chili ‘n Spuds Chili Meals

When the apocalypse happens and survivors are fighting over food, the Hormel Chili ‘n Spuds Chili Meal is probably one of the products they will be brawling over, along with cans of SpaghettO’s and creamed corn. It’ll be more valuable than gold, silver and platinum combined, because during the apocalypse, they will all lose [...]

REVIEW: Go Girl Bliss Energy Drink

Is there anything inappropriate about a man wearing a woman’s deodorant? Smelling “powder fresh” might not be the optimal scent for a man, but the sour smell from going au naturel is even less so. Is there anything wrong with a man using menstrual cramp reliever Midol to help ease the pain of [...]

REVIEW: Hostess Sno Balls B.O.B. Cakes

I love when brands team up with whatever children’s movie that was recently released on the big screen or on DVD to create a product like the Hostess’ B.O.B Cakes. Usually when this happens, snack food companies create some minimal variation of a tried and true product to make kids pull at their mother’s apron [...]
